Occurs every Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Al‑Anon is a 12 step mutual support program for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. By sharing common experiences and applying the Al-Anon principles, families and friends of alcoholics can bring positive changes to their individual situations, whether or not the alcoholic admits the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help.
About Foundation for Recovery and the Community Recovery Center:
The Foundation for Recovery has operated as Nevada’s statewide Recovery Community Organization (RCO) supporting and advocating for people and families impacted by addiction and overdose.
The first of its kind in Nevada, The Foundation for Recovery’s community recovery center is a social hub and enriching space operated by and for people who are recovering from addiction and our families. The center is like a recovery co-op, members help contribute to the community here, offering support and service to other members. The Community Recovery Center provides members with a safe space to access a small cafe, a computer lab, bus cards and transportation assistance, and access to a variety of activities, workshops, and meetings. Both members and non-members find a wealth of support and a community founded on the principle of radical acceptance.
